nascent [ˈnæsənt] a.
1.) Commencing, or in process of development; beginning to exist or to grow; coming into being; as, a nascent germ.
2.) (Chem.) Evolving; being evolved or produced; as, nascent oxygen (GNU Collaborative International Dictionary of English).

Hm no, I don't climb. It's kind of an expensive hobby here (don't know about the prices for a membership in a club in England). I've done the regular "introduction to indoor wall climbing" back in secondary school (we had introductions to just about everything), but never moved on to the more exciting stuff.
At my internship there was a guy, one of the safety advisors, who practised wall climbing, and I always admired how fit he looked, despite being nearly fifty.
why did you put the picture of Dante with this word? btw, have you ever read any of his works - La divina commedia? it's fantastic.
i just noticed this photo of you on the sidebar. lol...

I missed this blog, glad to be back in the circle.
La divina commedia, one of the greatest pieces ever.
The divine comedy, excellent excellent book.
This one is usable. I like this one. Bring it.
whay a dante pic instead of a darwin one?
Oh I use this word often enough.
I tried using this in a sentence on my girlfriend, she though I was referring to something sexual?? ...lol.
This one is easy for me to remember because of the latin root!
re your comment: Yep, just if it was you. KInd of grabbed my attention. I'm weird like that.
I've heard this word numerous times growing up. Discovery Channel/Nat Geo docs FTW!
Another new word, yay. I actually find doing the contest helps cement the words into my vocab as well. (I'm currently working on my entry at the same time.)
re your comment: i know there is always a meaning behind your pictures, i just happened to know some things about Dante...that's why i wanted to know the connection between him and the word.
what's wrong with La Divina Commedia?

Nice. One more word for me to exploit :)
Sweet, missed this blog.
I am a nascent being? correct? hehe!
I'm really having a problem with proper usage of words in a sentence :D
how do we KNOW that's you in the climbing picture? prove it :)
I'd like to see this word used more.
hahaha! now i understand your comment... ; )
thanks! i will correct it.

La Divina Commedia!

I like words that end with "cent." I just do.
Also, nice take on the monuments of the East and West. Never thought of it that way.
